About the Role - Patient Care Coordinator
As a Patient Care Coordinator at Vision Source Rio, you will be the welcoming face and voice of our practice, making certain that each patient’s experience is seamless, welcoming and well-organized. You’ll work closely with patients both in-person and virtually, assisting them with scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, processing payments, and more. The work you do will directly impact our patients’ ability to receive the eye care they need and will help them feel fully supported every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients with a smile when they arrive and provide them with a fond farewell as you check them out. Your friendly demeanor sets the tone for a positive patient experience.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments while coordinating a seamless flow of the day’s activities to minimize wait times and support an exceptional patient experience.
- Verify insurance information with precision, and clearly explain coverage details to patients so they feel informed and confident about their care.
- Answer and forward calls, manage voicemail, and handle email and text correspondence promptly and professionally.
- Collect and process payments accurately while addressing any billing questions with empathy, clarity and confidence.
- Scan, send and file important documents in a timely manner to keep records organized and workflows efficient.
- Support the team with additional tasks as needed, always maintaining a professional, uplifting, and team-oriented environment.

Office Hours: 7 am to 5:30 pm, weekends off. This full-time position works five 8-hour shifts per week.
