Job Duties:
The Upward Bound Advisor supports the planning, implementation, and delivery of comprehensive pre-college services designed to prepare eligible high school students for successful entry into and completion of post-secondary education. The Advisor works collaboratively with the Upward Bound Program Director and program staff to ensure compliance with U.S. Department of Education TRIO grant objectives while fostering strong partnerships with target schools, families, and community stakeholders. This position provides direct student advising, academic support, outreach, and program coordination.
The Upward Bound Advisor is responsible for delivering direct services to program participants while supporting the day-to-day operations of the Upward Bound program. Reporting to the Upward Bound Program Director, the Advisor assists with outreach and recruitment, academic advising and case management, curriculum delivery, program planning, and data reporting.
The Upward Bound Advisor manages a caseload of eligible Upward Bound participants and ensures services align with federal TRIO objectives and annual reporting requirements. This role requires collaboration with program staff, school personnel, families, and campus partners to promote participant persistence, academic achievement, and college readiness.

Our primary goal is to increase high school graduation rates, college enrollment, and degreecompletion. We believe education is a powerful tool for personal growth and community impact. Many students face barriers that can influencetheir educational aspirations, access to college, and long-term success, and our work is focused on helping students navigate and overcomethose challenges.
The Center for Pre-College Programs serves students across multiple stages of the educational journey, from early exposure to higher education through college preparation and persistence. Through academic-year and summer initiatives, we create supportive learning environments that encourage exploration, build confidence, and foster a sense of belonging as students move toward their educational and career goals.
Target Salary Range:
$45,000 - $51,000. (Final salary offer will be determined based on qualifications and experience)
