This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul and may have the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor.
This position provides technical expertise and professional support to advance the development, preservation, and safety of aviation across Minnesota. It enforces Minnesota aeronautics statutes and rules, reviews applicants for compliance, and approves commercial operator and airport licenses. The role is also responsible for maintaining statewide airport data and producing key publications, including the Airport Directory and Travel Guide and the Airport Finder application. Additionally, this position supports the delivery of 5010 inspections and serves as a resource on airport markings and related standards.

Minimum Qualifications
Two years of professional experience demonstrating the following:
Experience using ArcGIS, including ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro to create maps, generate profiles, etc.
Experience utilizing a comprehensive asset management system such as Archibus, sufficient to manage tickets, add assets, and update information.
Experience with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations sufficient to communicate with airports and consultants on non-compliance issues.
NOTE: Bachelor's/master's degree in aviation management or a closely related field may substitute for one year of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience interpreting and implementing FAA regulations related to airport lighting, navigation facilities, airport pavement markings, instrument approach design, and airport design.
Experience reviewing FAA Advisory Circulars and implementing them in airport development and planning.
