Position: Teaching & Learning Specialist
Location: Warren County Career Center
Employment Status: Full Time, 200 Days
General Description: Responsible for supporting and enhancing the professional growth of educators by providing resources, training, and guidance, ensuring the implementation of effective instructional practices that improve student learning outcomes. Responsible for supporting the Director of Teaching and Learning through collaborative communication about the teaching and learning process. Review and analyze data pertinent to the district report card and quality program reviews. Responsible for collaborating with Warren County Career Center staff to organize and proctor state and district testing, analyze data, celebrate successes, and support improvement. Assist in developing instructional goals and objectives, facilitating the
delivery of curriculum and assessments, and ensuring compliance with state requirements. Monitor the curriculum review schedule to maintain alignment and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Educational Leadership or Curriculum and Assessment is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years teaching and/or administrative experience
- Experience in curriculum, instruction, assessment, career-technical experience preferred
- Experience in technology integration to support curricular goals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and technology skills
- Hold a valid Ohio Educator's licensure, Ohio Administrative licensure preferred
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Hold a valid Ohio Driver's License
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Participates in the development and review of both academic and career/technical curriculum
- Works collaboratively with educators and administrators to develop and implement curricula that ensures a high-quality teaching and learning process is utilized in every classroom
- Participates in the development, implementation, evaluation of curriculum and instructional services
- Assists in the coordination and development of course overviews and pacing guides in compliance with ODEW standards
- Assists instructors in reviewing course overviews and pacing guides with advisors committees and other key stakeholders
- Researches new instructional materials, methods, and programs and makes recommendations for adoption
- Responsible for effective technology integration within all educational settings; works collaboratively with the Department of Technology and Warren County Career Center staff to promote the intelligent use of technology throughout the district
- Works with secondary administration for the purpose of coordinating and administering all state and district testing requirements
- Works with staff to assess student learning in formative and summative ways
- Develops and implements a process for analyzing data from student assessments
- Works collaboratively with staff to plan and implement effective professional learning for instructional employees of the Warren County Career Center
- Assists in the development and implementation of the district's continuous improvement plan
- Works closely with other administrators to ensure effective teaching methods
- Encourages the staff to develop and disseminate innovative and effective program materials
- Assists with student leadership activities as needed
- Assists with the management of the CTPD Plan, Tech Prep, CTAGs, Dual Credit, College Credit Plus and accreditation reviews at the district and program level
- Compiles data and prepares reports assigned by the Director of Teaching and Learning
- Attends county, regional, and State level meetings and professional development assigned by the Director of Teaching and Learning
- Works cooperatively with Warren County Career Center personnel and affiliate schools, promoting good public relations
Salary Range: Based on BOE approved salary schedule
