Currently looking for a Medical Assistant that will work Part-Time and to fill in during vacation/ time off.
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to healthcare professionals, ensuring smooth patient flow, and delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities:
-Check in and coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up care.
-Assist healthcare providers in examination rooms, preparing patients for medical procedures, and taking vital signs.
-Administer injections
-Record patient information, medical history, and current medications accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
-Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional.
-Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens for laboratory testing.
-Conduct basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and glucose monitoring.
-Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
-Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred.
-Certified or registered as a Medical Assistant is a plus.
-Training as a medical assistant, or military medical specialist with a minimum of 12 months of direct work experience and current MA credentials in the state of employment in accordance with state requirements and applicable regulations
-Previous experience working in a healthcare setting is an advantage.
-Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and other medical software.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
-Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic pharmacology.
-Current CPR certification.
