JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Estimator reports to the Director of
Preconstruction and is responsible for the organization of documentation, accurate cost estimating, and proposal creation for all bids. To be successful, the Estimator will understand and apply standard industry practices including material takeoffs, material and sub-contractor bid evaluations, labor, equipment, and general conditions costing to ensure estimates meet all codes and specifications. When a bid is awarded, the Estimator will be responsible for collaborating with Project Managers on all final bid submittals, material requirements and purchasing of materials. Effective communication skills are essential, the Estimator is the primary point of contact for customers, vendors and subcontractors when attending pre-bid meetings and project walk throughs. To build a foundation for success, the Estimator will be willing to train in the field working alongside construction crews to help understand processes, materials, and project coordination requirements in order to deliver well-rounded estimates. Key Responsibilities will include: Maintains the bid log for bid opportunities across all divisions Organizes and maintains all bid documentation according to standard processes Attends pre-bid meetings and walk throughs as directed by Director of Preconstruction Analyzes construction drawings and specifications for project requirements Processes high quantities of highly accurate material take offs with minimal mistakes Requests and analyzes pricing from vendors and subcontractors Assembles final numbers to creates proposals for customers Works with Project Managers to receive final approval of bid numbers and proposals Finalizes quotes and places material orders for active projects Enters and maintains order information in the material management system \*\** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred Qualifications Minimum of one to two years of estimating experience in the commercial construction with an emphasis on excavating, underground construction, or telecommunications (fiber, wireless) Ability to build strong, professional relationships with colleges, vendors, and customers Ability to navigate working relationships and results while demonstrating a high level of confidentiality Reads and analyzes construction drawings and specifications Strong attention to detail Process-oriented Strong math, analytical, and reasoning skills Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively Excellent verbal and written communication skills Team player Proactively manages change Proficient in Smartsheet Associate\'s Degree in related field Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) preferred \*\** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: E-Mail a Rsum: cgalecke@corphdq.com Apply Online: www.elexcoinc.com/careers
