Full-Time Performance Coach — Hess Fitness and Athletic Performance

Location: Lancaster, PAPosition Type:Full-Time (30–40 client-facing hours/week + administrative responsibilities)

Evening work hours past 5:00pm required

Compensation:** Competitive salary + performance-based incentives + PTO based on knowledge base including programming, movement assessments, and certifications

Position Overview

We are seeking a high level Performance Coach to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a high-energy, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced training environment, can build meaningful relationships with clients, and exhibits our core values at all times. You will lead private and semi-private training sessions, manage individualized programs, and contribute to systemized programming development as we expand to multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

Coach 30-40 hours of private and semi-private training sessions per week (1 to 1 and up to 4 to 1 ratio). Early morning and/or evening hours required

Implement individualized programs for athletes and fitness clients using Hess Fitness programming systems.

Conduct movement assessments and collaborate with staff on corrective strategies.

Track client progress and communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and team members.

Assist in regeneration/recovery service delivery (Normatec, red light therapy, cupping, etc.).

Support content creation (training clips, coaching education, social media highlights).

Attend weekly Level 10 Meetings and contribute to company Rocks and Scorecard metrics.

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training environment.

Qualifications

PTA license, Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred. Will consider exceptions for the right candidate with practical experience.

Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on coaching experience in a physical therapy, performance, or fitness setting.

Strong understanding of movement quality, periodization, and strength/speed development.

Ability to deliver coaching aligned with Hess methodology.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills; thrives within a system-driven culture.

CPR/AED certification (required).
