Position Title: Office Administrator

Reporting Structure: Reports to the State Operations Director

Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position is $60,000-$64,350, depending on experience and skill sets.

Job Classification: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Full time, 50+ hours per week during peak times in the summer and fall and may include evenings and weekends.

Location: On-site

Position Summary

Merrimack Services is seeking talented, driven individuals for the role of Office Administrator, who will be responsible for assisting with the administrative, operational, and human resources needs of the voter contact program office in their region.

Office Administrators will report directly to the Regional Organizing Director. This role is in person and the applicant will be required to travel to the project location for the duration of the project. Salaries for this position range from $60,000 to $64,350 based on experience and skillset.

Cycle/Project Based Full Time Position

This position is considered a Full-Time Employee meaning they are expected to work full-time (40 or more hours per week) for a defined period of time, typically the length of the project. However, Merrimack expects to provide extensive opportunities for successful employees and contractors to continue on with the company throughout the 2026 election season.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the State Operations Director in managing the operations, administrative, and human resources functions of the project
  • Process employee onboarding and offboarding while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws
  • Oversee office supply inventory and other administrative tasks
  • Work with company staff to ensure payroll information is entered correctly and pay issues are resolved in a timely manner


Qualifications
  • 1-3 years operations, administrative, or human resources experience
  • Ability and willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule, which can be expected to require 50+ hours per week during peak times in the summer and fall, and may include evenings and weekends.
  • Must possess a cell phone and laptop
  • Must have ready access to personal transportation and will be required to provide proof of driver's insurance

Plus Qualifications
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Highly detail-oriented and able to manage multiple processes simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, collegial attitude
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, Slack, and ATS, HRIS, and CRM tools preferred

Essential Physical Requirements
  • This position may require limited travel
  • This position requires vision/hearing abilities
