Summary

The School of Inclusive Teacher Education program student ambassadors exist to create opportunities for student leaders to enhance their personal and professional capabilities through supporting the goals, values, and ideals of their program major area. This position is a student worker employed five to ten hours per week, based on the individual program needs. Ambassadors assist the Program Coordinator (or faculty representative) as support to the program.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for creating and posting program information to department's social media outlets. i.e. Instagram, X (Twitter) etc.
  • Greet and provide information to prospective, new and continuing students through recruitment events retention events (Preview Day, President's Day and Ed Day).
  • Provide program support alongside faculty, plan and lead team building activities by creating and engaging content.
  • Participate in required professional development sessions provided by the EDHD Office of Student Success.
  • Other duties dependent on program needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Open to all undergraduate students enrolled in each program major in the College of Education and Human Development.
  • All members must be in good academic standing with at least the minimum cumulative GPA of their respective program.
  • The student must maintain the minimum program GPA to be renewed for employment the following year.
