Hvac refrigeration technician

Are you an experienced HVAC / Refrigeration Technician looking for a stable, long-term role in a supportive trades environment? We are seeking a skilled technician to join a Wellington-based commercial and industrial building services team. You’ll work across a variety of sites maintaining, servicing, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems that support essential infrastructure. This is a hands-on role with a mix of planned maintenance, reactive work, fault finding, and installation tasks. You’ll be part of a team that values quality workmanship, safety, and practical problem solving, while also having the ability to work independently. **About the Role** ● Service, maintain and repair HVAC & refrigeration systems ● Diagnose faults and complete remedial and installation work ● Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites ● Work independently and within a wider technical team ● Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards ● Participate in on-call roster where required **What you’ll need:** ● HVAC / Refrigeration trade qualification (Completed apprenticeship with a Level 4 Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning) ● Experience in commercial or industrial HVAC/refrigeration work ● Electrical Service Technician licence (EST) licence or equivalent (a must) ● Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills ● Full NZ driver’s licence ● NZ working rights **What’s on offer:** ● Competitive salary reflecting your skills and experience; ● A supportive team environment that fosters growth; ● Opportunities for career advancement and professional development. **Application Process:** You will need to complete an interview and reference checks.
