Joint Rewinder

The Joint Rewinder is a hands-on role that entails operating production equipment while maintaining a high level of quality and productivity at the CertainTeed Gypsum Finishing Tape plant in Junction City, KS. -This position requires the ability to sustain a positive team environment with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties:

• Strictly follow all compliance and safety rules and identify, eliminate, and immediately communicate all unsafe working conditions to Leadership.

• Keep warehouse and production areas and equipment free of debris while maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping and 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).

• Configure, start, run, stop, clean, and troubleshoot the 613 Tape Rewinder, Automated Core Loader, Case Packer, and other production equipment.

• Run an efficient production line by continuously monitoring the production area, equipment, and supplies while also mitigating wasted efforts and scrap materials.

• Ensure product and packaging specifications are followed by performing frequent quality checks, making adjustments as needed, and immediately reporting abnormal conditions to the Leadership team.

• Complete necessary inspections, stocking of supplies, required paperwork, changeovers, and material handling tasks.--

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred

• 1+ year of Manufacturing or Industrial experience; preferred

• Valid state-issued driver's license; required

• Forklift Operator Qualification (OSHA-approved) -- Upon hire or obtained within 1 month; must be maintained; required-
