Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate for Food Manufacturing to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the storage, handling, and distribution of food products within a food processing plant. Your work will ensure that all food items are stored in compliance with safety standards, properly organized, and readily accessible to support efficient production and packaging processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming food ingredients and packaging materials in accordance with FDA regulations and HACCP standards
- Organize and store products systematically to facilitate easy retrieval and inventory management
- Responsible for pulling and Kitting ingredients for production
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to move products within the warehouse
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of storage areas to meet strict food safety and sanitation requirements
- Assist in inventory counts, cycle counting, and reconciliation processes regularly
- Support packaging operations by ensuring proper storage of finished goods awaiting shipment
- Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines to uphold quality standards throughout warehouse activities
- Collaborate with production teams to coordinate timely delivery of raw materials and supplies
- Monitor temperature controls and storage conditions for perishable items as required by food safety protocols
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly to management
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a food industry warehouse or food processing plant is a plus.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and food safety standards
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment such as forklifts and conveyor systems
- Basic math skills for inventory tracking, measurements, and documentation accuracy
- Ability to operate forklifts safely, with valid certification preferred
- Familiarity with food production processes and packaging operations
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management
