ABOUT THE SCHOOL/DEPARTMENT

D'Evelyn is an "option" school, offering students in 6th - 12th grade a rigorous and disciplined education in the liberal arts. The D'Evelyn Program is based on the belief that all students, not just an elite group, should be held to rigorous academic and behavioral standards, and that all students can achieve in a challenging program. The school's operational philosophy emphasizes a 'participatory approach' to management. D?Evelyn is governed by a D'Evelyn Steering Committee, composed of parents, teachers, and the D'Evelyn principal, serves as the governing board of the school.
