Landscaper

Job Overview
Join our dynamic landscaping team as a Landscaper and bring outdoor spaces to life with your energy and expertise! In this role, you'll be instrumental in creating, maintaining, and enhancing beautiful landscapes that inspire and delight. From lawn care to hardscape installation, you'll work hands-on with a variety of tools and equipment to transform outdoor environments into vibrant, functional spaces. This paid position offers the opportunity to develop your skills in horticulture, construction, and landscape maintenance while contributing to community beautification projects.

Duties

• Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to keep turf healthy and lush.
• Maintain landscape features such as flower beds, shrubs, and lawns through pruning, trimming, and planting
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like planting, edging, and installing hardscape elements such as patios or walkways
• Use machinery such as excavators for larger construction projects or landscape grading
• Possibly conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal to promote healthy growth and safety- this will mainly be working with shrubs.
• Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes
• Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe

Experience

• Prior experience in landscaping or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for operating various landscaping equipment and power tools, training will also be provided.
• Familiarity with lawn care techniques landscape maintenance practices, and hardscape installation is a plus but not required
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
• Knowledge of gardening principles and plant health management is advantageous but not required
• Experience operating landscape machinery items such as excavators such as aeration machines or similar equipment is a valuable asset
