Job Description: Mobile DJ – Liftoff Entertainment

Position: Mobile DJ/Event Host Company: Liftoff Entertainment Location: Dayton, OH Employment Type: Part-time/Contract

About Us:Liftoff Entertainment is a premier provider of professional but fun DJ and Photo Booth services, specializing in weddings, corporate events, and private parties. With a focus on creating unforgettable experiences, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality entertainment with a personal touch. We’re looking for an energetic and reliable Mobile DJ to join our team and help make our clients’ events extraordinary!

Responsibilities

• Event Performance:
• Serve as the primary DJ at weddings, corporate events, and private parties.
• Make professional and engaging announcements as needed (e.g., wedding introductions, toasts, activity prompts).
• Play curated playlists and take live song requests while keeping the dance floor energized.
• Equipment Management:
• Transport, set up, and break down all DJ equipment, including sound systems, microphones, and lighting with company vehicle
• Ensure all equipment functions properly and troubleshoot issues during events.
• Client Interaction:
• Collaborate with clients during pre-event consultations to understand their music preferences and event timeline.
• Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor throughout events.
• Brand Representation:
• Uphold Liftoff Entertainment’s professional and fun style.
• Interact positively with event guests, vendors, and venue staff.

Qualifications

• Prior DJ experience is not required (we offer training).
• A strong passion for music and an understanding of diverse genres.
• Knowledge of Top 40 Music throughout the decades
• Comfortable speaking on a microphone and engaging a crowd.
• Ability to manage and troubleshoot audio/lighting equipment.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

• Competitive pay based on experience and event size. Liftoff DJs can make around $600 per wedding, if not more.
