Psychologist

Job Description

I’m Constance Mesiarik, a licensed psychologist with training in both psychology and law. After nearly 20 years in solo practice, I founded Pathways at Mesiarik Psychological Services to create a practice centered on thoughtful, individualized therapy and assessment, where clinicians are supported in doing their best work.

We are a private-pay practice offering therapy and comprehensive psychological evaluations in Pottstown, PA, just outside of Philadelphia. Our office is located in a welcoming historic building in the center of town, and we are continuing to grow.

You can learn more at www.pathwaysmps.com.

I’m seeking a psychologist with strong assessment training who wants to focus on testing in a private practice setting. This may be a good fit if you’re completing a postdoc, transitioning from an agency or hospital role, or looking to expand your assessment work.

The role is well suited for someone who values careful diagnostic work, produces high-quality, clinically meaningful reports, and communicates findings clearly and effectively to clients, families, and referral sources.

Assessment areas include, but aren’t limited to:

· ADHD evaluations

· Autism spectrum evaluations

· Learning disability and psychoeducational evaluations

· Cognitive and executive functioning assessment

· Diagnostic clarification

· Personality and emotional functioning

You’ll conduct comprehensive evaluations, write integrated reports, and provide feedback to clients and families. You’ll have flexibility in selecting instruments and test batteries - I’m interested in your clinical judgment rather than a standardized approach.

· 70% fee split on completed evaluations

· All testing materials provided (no startup costs to you)

· Flexible scheduling - you set your own hours and caseload

· Supervision toward licensure available for license-eligible candidates

· Collegial consultation - a practice built around connection

· Input on practice development - we are in the early stages, which means your voice matters

· Dedicated, furnished office space in a historic Pottstown building

· Practice handles all marketing and referral development, so you focus on clinical work.

· Doctoral degree in psychology (PhD or PsyD)

· Licensed or license-eligible in Pennsylvania

· Training and experience in psychological assessment (practicum, internship, or postdoc level)

· Strong report writing and clinical integration skills

This is an independent contractor (1099) position. The practice is already receiving assessment referrals, with ongoing efforts to build relationships with schools, pediatricians, therapists, and other providers in the region. Your caseload will build gradually as the practice grows, which makes this especially well-suited for someone who wants to ease into private practice, supplement existing clinical work, or transition from a salaried role at their own pace.

I’d love to hear from you. You can email me at cmesiarik@pathwaysmps.com with a brief introduction and your CV. No formal cover letter needed - just tell me a bit about yourself. I’m happy to have a conversation and see if it feels like a good fit on both sides.
