Chicago Heights Park Attendant (Seasonal/Summer)

Salary: 15:00 hr

Schedule: On call

Seasonal, May 31st– August 5, 2026

Supervisor: Program Director

Must be at least 18 years old.

Chicago Heights Park District provides quality recreation programs, facilities and parks that meet the leisure needs and improve the quality of life for Chicago Heights residents. We promote and maintain community partnerships, intergovernmental and corporate relationships while providing quality employment opportunities at the Chicago Heights Park District.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Chicago Heights Park District is now hiring seasonal workers to serve as an attendant of our parks. Responsibilities include maintaining indoor/outdoor park areas, support special events, and park rentals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Upkeep of park areas including the removal of all debris from the grounds.
• Provide daily cleaning to all restroom facilities and fieldhouses.
• Work scheduled weekend for park rentals and special vents.
• Report any suspicious activities to Supervisor.
• Maintains current knowledge and awareness of principles and practices, regulations and procedures of the Park and Recreation department.
• Interact with all residents and guests in a polite and positive manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Energetic and positive attitude.
• Must be flexible and reliable to work an inconsistent schedule.
• Possess a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the prerequisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
