This is an exciting opportunity for a senior technician ready to step up, or an experienced controller who thrives in a busy workshop and knows how to keep things moving, organised, and running at full efficiency. As a Foreman / Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for leading workflow, supporting your team, and ensuring every vehicle leaves the workshop to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities -Taking full ownership of daily workshop flow and keeping jobs moving efficiently from start to finish. -Leading, supporting, and working alongside technicians to solve problems and get vehicles back on the road quickly. -Getting hands-on with diagnostics and technical challenges when needed including complex and performance work. -Making sure every job meets high-quality standards before it leaves the workshop. -Managing priorities in real time to keep turnaround times sharp and customers happy. -Communicating clearly with service advisors, parts, and management to keep everything running smoothly. -Mentoring technicians and helping build a strong, capable, and motivated workshop team. -Keeping the workshop organised, efficient, and operating at a high standard every day. Skills and Experience -Experience as a Senior Technician, Foreman, or Workshop Controller. -Strong diagnostic skills and confidence working across a wide range of Ford and performance vehicles. -Natural leadership ability with the confidence to take control in a busy environment. -Ability to stay calm, organised, and effective when things get fast-paced. -Strong communication skills and a team-first approach. -Comfortable using modern workshop systems and processes. -Full New Zealand driver’s licence (essential). -Residency status: Must currently reside in New Zealand and/or hold a valid New Zealand work visa (if applicable).
