Overview

United Employment Associates, LLC is partnering with a well-established Asphalt Paving Contractor in Massachusetts to identify an experienced Asphalt Paving Superintendent. This individual will play a critical leadership role in overseeing daily paving operations, managing multiple crews, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate multiple asphalt paving crews, including 1 milling crew and multiple patch crews
• Manage day-to-day field operations across DOT, county, and municipal paving projects
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations
• Lead and mentor Foremen and crew members to maximize productivity and efficiency
• Coordinate scheduling, logistics, equipment, and materials across multiple job sites
• Work closely with Project Managers and Estimators to execute project plans
• Monitor production rates and adjust operations to meet deadlines and budgets
• Maintain strong communication with clients, inspectors, and internal teams

Qualifications

• 10+ years of asphalt paving experience, with a strong background as a Superintendent
• Proven ability to manage multiple crews simultaneously (paving, milling, and patch crews)
• Extensive experience with DOT, county, and municipal paving projects (MassDOT experience strongly preferred)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Deep understanding of asphalt paving operations, equipment, and production processes
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and project schedules
• Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
