POSITION TITLE: Middle School Pompon Coach
POSITION LOCATION: Forsythe Middle School
RATE OF PAY: Depending on experience
REPORTING RLEATIONSHIP: Athletic Director
Forsythe Middle School is seeking an enthusiastic and student-centered Pompon Club Advisor to lead our middle school Pom program. This position supports students in developing teamwork, performance skills, school spirit, and confidence through structured practices and performance opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience coaching pom, dance, cheer, or related performance activities
- Experience working with middle schoolaged students
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to create inclusive programming welcoming students of all experience levels
- Knowledge of safe practice structures for student performers
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and lead practices approximately 1-2 days per week (after school) for 1 hour.
- Teach pom techniques, choreography, and performance routines appropriate for middle school students
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive team environment
- Coordinate performances at school events
- Communicate regularly with students, families, and school administration
- Support student participation expectations aligned with school policies
- Maintain attendance records and supervise students during practices
- Ensure safe use and organization of equipment
- Collaborate with the Athletics & Clubs Department regarding scheduling and program needs
- Model and reinforce school values of Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, Commitment, and Excellence

Duties are performed indoors and occasionally outdoors.
