Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

• Associate’s Degree (or higher) in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (Illinois Gateways ECE Credential Level 4 or higher preferred),
• OR an Associate’s Degree (or higher) in a related or non-related field with 20+ college credits in ECE/Child Development.
• OR Currently enrolled in an AA or BA program with more than 45 credits earned toward the degree, including at least 15 credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.

Additional Requirements:

• Proof of physical exam, TB test, and current vaccinations (TDap, MMR, COVID-19)
• Ability to pass background checks through DCFS, State, and FBI
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Intermediate computer skills and willingness to learn new platforms

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children
• Supervise classroom, playground, and common areas to ensure child safety
• Complete and document developmental screenings and assessments
• Accurately enter data and reports in Teaching Strategies, CARES, and/or other agency systems
• Communicate effectively with families, team members, and leadership

Position Details:

• Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday (No weekends!)

Pay: $34,528.00 - $41,000.00 per year
