Swiss CNC Machinist II – 2nd Shift Location: Brooklyn Park, MN

Job Type: Full-Time / Technical

Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM (4-day work week)

Salary Range: $28.00 – $40.00 Hourly (Plus 5% quarterly bonus target)

Role Overview We are seeking a Swiss Machinist II to support our 2nd shift manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of Swiss machines according to work instructions and setup sheets, while strictly adhering to quality standards and our corporate quality manual.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Production: Follow job traveler standard rates and utilize hour-by-hour boards to meet production and scrap requirements.
  
  
• Leadership: Assist Level 1 Machinists in process-specific areas to ensure product quality.
  
  
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of completed parts, scrap, and non-conformances in the ERP system.
  
  
• Communication: Document actions and irregularities in shift-to-shift transfer books to ensure continuity.
  
  
• Technical Operation: Operate Swiss machines (up to 9-axis) and perform setups on intermediate complexity jobs unaided.
  
  
• Programming: Demonstrate an extensive understanding of G and M code; some macro program knowledge preferred.
  
  
• Quality Control: Verify products visually (via microscope) and dimensionally using vision systems, CMMs, and hand tools. Perform offsets and tool changes based on SPC/QC data.
