Responsibilities
Service & Troubleshooting
• Diagnose and repair air-cooled chillers, heat pumps, and industrial tank heaters • Troubleshoot refrigeration circuits utilizing scroll compressors
• Troubleshoot gas- and oil-fired burner systems, including ignition and fuel delivery components • Identify and repair issues with TXVs, solenoids, pressure controls, and refrigeration components
• Diagnose electrical and control system faults
• Perform system performance evaluations including:
o Superheat and subcooling (refrigeration systems)
o Combustion readings (O₂, CO, excess air, stack temperature)
Preventative Maintenance
• Perform scheduled maintenance on chillers, heat pumps, and tank heating systems • Inspect compressors, burners, fans, heat exchangers, and electrical components • Verify refrigerant charge, fuel pressures, airflow, and system performance • Document maintenance findings and recommended repairs
Commissioning Support
• Assist with startup and commissioning of chiller, heat pump, and tank heater systems • Verify proper refrigerant circuit operation
• Assist with burner setup and safe operation verification
• Confirm system controls and safety devices operate correctly
Customer Support
• Provide professional service and technical support at customer facilities
• Clearly communicate system conditions and recommended service actions • Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
