Job Description
This position provides administrative support to the dean, faculty and staff of the Allied Health & Nursing Division. This position will establish and maintain effective working relationships and cooperate with administration, staff members, faculty, students and the general public. This position will operate effectively as a team member and/or individually as the circumstances allow, adapting to a wide range of people and personalities. This position will promote a positive image of the college through personal contacts, email, telephone communications and written materials.
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrates ability to implement administrative support practices and procedures.
Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software to create, edit, and format a variety of documents and reports, including Microsoft Office, Word, Teams and Excel.
Experience using databases to enter and retrieve data, generate reports, analyze information, and identify and correct errors.
Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, professionally, and effectively to diverse audiences, in a fast-paced work environment.
Knowledge of bookkeeping/accounting procedures.
Strong math skills to accurately calculate and verify totals on contracts, reports, forms, requisitions, and bills using calculators, computers, or related tools.
Preferred Qualification
AA Degree or 5 years of verifiable work experience in an office setting.
Knowledge and understanding of MinnState procedures and platforms, including Workday.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problemsolving skills, with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, plan and prioritize tasks, and complete work efficiently and accurately.
Demonstrates ongoing cultural fluency and actively values, supports, and incorporates diverse and equitable practices in daily work, and interactions with students, staff and community members.
