Job Description

This position provides administrative support to the dean, faculty and staff of the Allied Health & Nursing Division. This position will establish and maintain effective working relationships and cooperate with administration, staff members, faculty, students and the general public. This position will operate effectively as a team member and/or individually as the circumstances allow, adapting to a wide range of people and personalities. This position will promote a positive image of the college through personal contacts, email, telephone communications and written materials.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrates ability to implement administrative support practices and procedures.

  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software to create, edit, and format a variety of documents and reports, including Microsoft Office, Word, Teams and Excel.

  • Experience using databases to enter and retrieve data, generate reports, analyze information, and identify and correct errors.

  • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, professionally, and effectively to diverse audiences, in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Knowledge of bookkeeping/accounting procedures.

  • Strong math skills to accurately calculate and verify totals on contracts, reports, forms, requisitions, and bills using calculators, computers, or related tools.

Preferred Qualification

  • AA Degree or 5 years of verifiable work experience in an office setting.

  • Knowledge and understanding of MinnState procedures and platforms, including Workday.

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problemsolving skills, with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, plan and prioritize tasks, and complete work efficiently and accurately.

  • Demonstrates ongoing cultural fluency and actively values, supports, and incorporates diverse and equitable practices in daily work, and interactions with students, staff and community members.
