About the Role You will work in our R&D team across all stages of product development including research, risk analysis, design and development of embedded software, validation, prototyping, and quality testing. You will have the ability to translate functional requirements into reliable, power-efficient, high performance embedded software involving analog sensors, digital signal processing, algorithms, and wireless communication. You’ll be working in close collaboration with our hardware and software development team, actively contributing ideas and undertaking creative problem-solving. This role will differ from day-to-day as you work on various different projects, with internal and external teams. Essential Skills and Experience * Past professional experience (preferably 3+ years) developing embedded software on modern 32-bit Microcontrollers. * Experience with various peripherals and communication protocols such as ADC, SPI, I2C, UART, etc. * Competency in C and C++ programming languages and be willing to learn new languages as needed. * Ability to navigate and maintain complex source code. * Competent in understanding schematic drawings. * Experience using diagnostic equipment, including Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, etc. * Competency in computing technology and the ability to solve computer-related issues, including troubleshooting. * Detailed understanding of modern Microcontrollers and related development and testing tools. * Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both unsupervised, and with others in a team. * Commitment to delivering quality results on time and minimising design risks. * Desire to learn new skills and technologies and share knowledge with the rest of the team. * A good understanding of digital signal processing, filters and algorithms would be advantageous. * Prior experience with embedded Linux is a plus. * Experience with camera systems and image processing would be an advantage.
