Magnetic Home Services is a trusted local provider of property maintenance, repair, building & renovation services in the Dayton, Cincinnati & Columbus areas. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man with carpentry, tile, plumbing or other skills to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of maintenance and repair skills, ensuring that various tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard, but if you are an expert in Carpentry, Tile, Plumbing or another specific trade that better serves our need that is a plus. This role requires a proactive individual to work independently and who can troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and maintain equipment in residential settings. A strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• General Repairs: fix a variety of household issues such as plumbing leaks, electrical outlets/switches, drywall repairs, window/trim/door repairs
• Maintenance: perform regular maintenance such painting, caulking, HVAC/appliance filters & cleaning
• Installation: install new equipment such as appliances, shelving units, door knobs & locks, ceiling fans, security cameras
• Remodeling: assist with remodeling projects such as new floors (tile, plank, vinyl, carpet, hardwood refinishing), tiling, replacing toilets/sinks/vanities/counters/cabinets, painting
• Yard Maintenance: lawn cutting, weed control, fence/gate repairs & maintenance, cleaning gutters
• Property Inspections: routine, move-in & move-out property inspections of our rental units to determine items that need addressed
• Troubleshooting & Customer Service: must be able to assess issues & find cost effective & efficient solutions all while maintaining top tier customer service & communication

Requirements

• Provide your own general tools for basic handman work (some equipment will be provided by the company)
• Previous experience in general labor, maintenance or handyman work is a must
• Basic knowledge of tools, equipment and materials
• Must be able to operate an iPad/iPhone (company provided) and technology literate
• Reliable transportation to work and valid drivers license (company vehicle to be provided). Most jobs are in the Dayton area, there will be occasions that travel to Cincinnati or Columbus areas are necessary however this is a home every night position
• Ability to work independently & manage your time effectively
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and perform physical labor
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Pass drug/alcohol test and background check
• Must be punctual, respectful and dependable/reliable
• Safety & compliance is a must

Bonus if you have

• Experience in multiple trades
• A contractor's license or relevant certifications
