Job Description

The Neshaminy School District is seeking candidates for the position of Board Certified Behavior Analyst (referred to internally as Behaviorist).

The Behaviorist will provide behavior support services for eligible and referred students in the District. This is a great opportunity for BCBAs working for school districts or agencies. Behaviorists are part of the NFT Collective Bargaining Agreement and work the same school-year schedule as other certified staff. Salary and benefits are consistent with the NFT collective bargaining agreement, which can be found on the Neshaminy.org website under Human Resources.

Behaviorists are generally assigned to support elementary, middle, and high school levels, but may be asked to move around based on student need.

Behaviorists’ duties include, but are not limited to:

  • conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (“FBA”) and skills assessments and train staff on implementation for FBA
  • develop and implement individualized behavior intervention and skill acquisition programs
  • collect and analyze behavioral data
  • participate in IEP and other planning meetings
  • maintain accurate documentation and meet required deadlines
  • comply with BACB Ethics Code, FERPA, and other applicable regulations
  • promote skill generalization and positive behavior change Other duties and training as may be required

Qualifications include a valid BCBA certification in Pennsylvania. Experience in public schools is preferred.

Neshaminy School District requires a valid Child Abuse Clearance, FBI clearance, PA State Police Criminal Check, and completed Act 168 forms for all employees before they may begin work.
