Principal for Korean School

Korean school of Greater Hartford (legal entity: Korean Language and Cultural Education Institute (KLCEI), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, invites a highly qualified principal to join us at our school.

Our school has been providing premier Korean language and cultural education in Hartford since 1995. We offer Saturday language classes for students from age 4 through adults. We strive to be a center for those who wish to learn more about Korea’s language, history, culture, and heritage. Classes are held at Trinity College in Hartford, CT, every Saturday from the second week of September through April (9 AM to noon).

Description of the key responsibility:

• Overall Program Management and Operations
• Teacher recruitment and evaluation
• Classroom Management Supervision
• Plan and implement the curriculum.
• Organize and participate in school and community events
• Communicate with families, board members, and the community
• Keep school records
• Organize and participate in continuing education opportunities
• Other relevant duties as required.

Qualification

• Bilingual (Korean and English)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Prefer a master's degree or higher
• Teaching experiences
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Use technology as a training and management tool
• Excellent organizational skills
• Understand the diverse community and cultures
• U.S. work authorization required; no Visa sponsorship available

501(c)(3) 비영리 단체인 하트포드 한국학교에서 우수한 자격을 갖춘 교장선생님을 모시고자 합니다. 하트포드 한국학교는 1995년부터 최고 수준의 한국어와 한국문화 교육을 제공하고 있으며 4세 어린이부터 성인들을 위한 토요일 어학 수업을 진행하고 있습니다. 저희는 한국의 언어, 역사, 문화, 유산에 대해 더 많이 배우고자 하는 사람들을 위한 센터가 되기 위해 노력하고 있습니다. 수업은 9월 두 번째 주부터 4월까지 매주 토요일 9시에서 정오 사이에 하트포드 소재 트리니티 칼리지에서 진행됩니다.

업무내용: 매주 토요일에 학교에 오셔서 다음의 일들을 합니다.

• 전체 프로그램 관리 및 운영
• 교사 채용 및 평가
• 교실 관리 및 감독
• 커리큘럼 계획 및 구현
• 학교 및 지역 사회 행사 조직과 참여
• 가족, 이사회 구성원 및 지역 사회와의 소통
• 학교 기록 보관
• 지속적인 교육기회 조직과 참여
• 기타 필요에 따른 관련 직무

자격

• 이중 언어 (한국어 및 영어) 구사
• 우수한 대인관계 기술
• 석사학위 이상 선호
• 교사경력 우대
• 우수한 구두 및 서면 의사소통 기술
• 컴퓨터를 교육 및 관리도구로 사용가능한 능력
• 우수한 조직 관리기술
