Desktop Support Specialist

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Desktop Support.

Position type: Full Time/ Contract

Duration: 18 Months

Location: Granite City IL 62040 USA

As a Desktop Support, you will be:

· Provide support with all desktop’s personal computers and related equipment and to ensure that all employees have the appropriate tools to perform their job function and that these tools are kept in working order and, where necessary, repaired with the minimum of user disruption.

· Hands on position - will be meeting face to face with end users.

· The job qualifications would normally be met through attainment of an undergraduate degree or vocational certificate, or 2 years of experience in information systems, preferably in a technological environment.

· Duties require staff to exercise a high degree of discretion and independent judgment.

The ideal candidate will have:

· 2-3 years desktop/desk-side support with exceptional customer service.

· Knowledge of operating systems, Microsoft office suite and software applications.

· Extensive experience troubleshooting software applications. Knowledge base is available for client’s proprietary software applications.

· Valid driving license required

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (e.g., printers and IT equipment)

· Comfortable working at heights

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

· Experience with active directory administration.

· At least 2-3 years of experience

· COMPTIA OR A+ certification

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*:_ $25.00- $27.50 per hour_

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
