Job Description

  • Provide coordination in implementation of the Student Support Personnel Workforce Pathway Grant and wraparound support of student recipients

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students that receive the stipend through the grant program

  • Support practicum instructors in providing a quality learning experience, providing monthly consultation and regular professional development opportunities for the school social work community

  • Assist in the development and implementation of a school social work certificate program

  • Teach courses specializing in the practice of social work in schools

  • Instruct courses in an asynchronous, virtual format

  • Assist students with obtaining practicum placements in school settings

  • Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.

  • Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities.

  • Contribute to student growth and development including student advising.

  • Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community.

  • Support Winona State University's mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve.

Salary Range: $64,963 - $188,620; Commensurate with Rank, Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Earned Master of Social Work from an accredited school of social work

  • Two (2) years of post-MSW practice experience in schools.

  • Licensure as a School Social Worker in Minnesota

  • Licensed as a clinical social worker (LICSW) in Minnesota

  • Experience in grant coordination

Preferred Qualification

  • Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching.

  • Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching.

  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.

  • Prior experience working with graduate students

  • Experience in teaching in an online MSW program

  • Experience in social work practicum education

  • Experience and commitment to community engagement

  • Experience with diverse populations

  • Demonstrated ability and commitment to working as a member of a team
