Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our mental health department. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming environment while managing administrative and communication tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients in a warm and professional manner
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments
  • Verify insurance and collect co-pays when needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system
  • Coordinate with providers and clinical staff
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
  • Manage front desk operations and ensure a smooth daily workflow

Qualifications

  • Previous front desk or administrative experience (healthcare preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable using computers and EMR systems
  • Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a medical or mental health setting
  • Familiarity with insurance verification and billing processes
  • Bilingual (a plus)
