• 07:00 – 15:00

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a PACU role supporting both adult and pediatric patients in a one-day surgery setting. The ideal candidate will have strong pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery experience, along with a solid background in critical care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pre-operative and post-anesthesia patient care
• Monitor patients during recovery from anesthesia
• Perform thorough nursing assessments and intervene as needed
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams
• Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system

Required Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience (within the last 2 years)
• Experience in both outpatient and inpatient PACU settings
• Critical Care experience required
• Pediatric PACU experience required
• Experience in acute care facilities of similar size and acuity
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EPIC preferred)

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York State)
• BLS certification required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
