Rumford Public Library Now Hiring: Adult Services Librarian

In your role as Adult Services Librarian, you will:

●Design and deliver engaging programs and events tailored to adult learners and readers.

●Provide expert reader’s advisory and research assistance.

●Assist the Library Director in curating and developing the library collection.

●You’ll work closely with the Children’s Librarian to connect programs between age levels.

●Support Circulation and Technology staff to provide friendly and high quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

●Plan, promote, and lead innovative adult programs and events.

●Offer personalized research help.

●Work closely with library staff to curate collections that reflect community needs and interests.

●Serve as a friendly, knowledgeable resource for all adult patrons.

Qualifications:

●Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

●Creativity, adaptability, and a passion for public service.

● Bachelor's Degree in Library/Information Science is preferred.

● Significant experience in and a working knowledge of Library services are required.

● Experience with Sierra and Minerva is a plus.

● Proficiency using computers, computer software and the internet is required.

● Demonstrated excellent public relations ability with all ages is required.

Compensation: This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position paying $23.00 per hour plus benefits.
