The Graham Office provides students with support in career development all throughout their time at the University of Kentucky. Purpose: Are you interested in supporting fellow students with their career goals? The Graham Office of Career Management is hiring two Career Coaching Interns who will assist with the career advising needs of undergraduate business students at the Gatton College of Business & Economics. Working alongside Graham professional staff, interns will build coaching, admin, and facilitation skills through real time experience.Career Coaching Interns will report to the Assistant Director of Career Readiness with the Graham Office of Career Management. Modality: In-Person | Hours: 15 hours a week | Pay: $13 per hour Reports to: Raven Gibson, Assistant Director of Career Readiness Job Responsibilities: Provide peer-to-peer advising during drop-in and pre-scheduled appointments. Aid students in tasks related to the following: using Navigate (the Graham Virtual Career Hub), Handshake and other internship/job search tools, career fair preparation, resumes, cover letters. Present career-related topics to student organizations and other groups using standard Graham Office workshops materials. Represent and assist the Graham Office at career events, including career fairs, Careers & Cane's, and the First Impressions Fashion Show. Create career resource tools (for example, educational documents for LinkedIn, Interviewing Tips, etc.), as needed. Welcome and answer brief informational questions for students and others who visit the Graham Office front lobby. Preferred Qualifications & Skills: Anticipated graduation year of 2027 or 2028 in a relevant major. Career interest in Human Resources or related discipline preferred. Strong professional writing skills, including resumes and cover letters, with emphasis on content and formatting. Demonstration of the Kentucky Graduate Profile's 10 Essential Skills (communication, critical and creative thinking, quantitative reasoning, interpersonal relations, adaptability and leadership, professionalism, civil engagement, collaboration and teamwork, knowledge application, and information literacy) in past campus involvement and/or work/internship experience.
