Paraprofessional - Special Education Support

GHR Education is excited to offer a 2026–2027 school year opportunity for a Paraprofessional – Special Education Support at a school near you!
School setting + special education experience required

Position Details:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift (aligned with the 2026–2027 school calendar)
• Pay: $25/hour (weekly pay + full benefits, W2)
• Location: Newark, DE
• Start Date: August 2026 (possibl summer positions available!)
• Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a student with special needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and staff to support student success
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
• Follow and adapt to daily schedules as needed
• Reinforce instruction with individuals or small groups
• Support students with diverse needs, including physical, developmental, and language challenges
• Assist with classroom preparation, materials, and activities
• Help with non-instructional tasks (snack time, toileting, transitions, etc.)
• Support substitute teachers when needed
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
• Participate in trainings and professional development
• Maintain a positive and proactive attitude

Requirements:

• Minimum of 60 college credits OR Paraprofessional Certification
• Valid DEEDs Certificate
• Prior school setting and special education experience required
• Comfortable assisting with toileting and physical care
