We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to work in our high-voltage distribution in the South-Central Region of Indiana with our Delta Services company. Delta Services, founded in 2004 in Louisville, KY, specializes in electric utility work. Their Utility Division provides 24/7 emergency response and handles transformer installation, voltage conversions, and utility system upgrades.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Comply with safety requirements and actively promote a positive safety culture.
  • Communicate effectively and provide support to stakeholders, including customers, general and other contractors, union representatives, and regulatory personnel.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all inspections and incident investigations, and pre-task analyses.
  • Conduct daily safety audits and observations of crews, ensure compliance, and assist with hazard mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain a summary of audits, inspections, and other action items, ensuring timely and sustainable resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with all State Group policies, legal regulations, and governmental requirements.
  • Coach and train field staff and communicate effectively with the leadership team.
  • Committed to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM

  • 2+ years of construction safety experience, including 3+years of experience in electrical utility distribution, required.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent trade craft experience.
  • CUSP, OSHA 30, and OSHA 500 certifications preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including walking and standing on uneven terrain for more than 75% of the workday.
  • Working in varying conditions (hot, cold, wet, dusty, and noisy environments).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities; excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license in good standing, with the ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • An understanding of DOT requirements.
