Customer Service Assistant

Job Description

Who We Are

We’re Central Tree — we clear trees, brush, stumps, and whatever else is in the way. We don’t dump waste — we grind it, recycle it, and turn it into mulch. We run on hard work, tight communication, and getting it done right. Our business is growing, and we attribute that growth to people who show up, move with purpose, back each other up, and take real pride in their work!

The Mission

Now hiring: a bilingual (English/Spanish) Customer Service Assistant who’s sharp, organized, and built for busy season. This isn’t a “sit there and answer phones” gig — you’re front-line support keeping the counter, phones, and communication moving. Your work shows up in clean orders, smooth deliveries, and happy customers — every day. If your core values are hard work, creativity, accountability, and collaboration, you’ll fit right in.

Bring hustle, bring solutions, and you’ll grow with us!

What You’ll Do

· Be the first impression: in-store, over the phone - greet every customer with energy!

· Keep the machine running: answer calls, handle walk-ins, and keep orders/invoices/deliveries flowing.

· Call traffic control: route incoming calls to the right department/person fast, take accurate messages, and make sure nothing gets lost.

· Filter the junk: identify spam/solicitors quick, shut it down politely.

· Email traffic control: monitor and support the shared inbox by tagging and routing messages, respond to assigned customer emails, and escalate time-sensitive issues fast — no dropped requests, no missed orders.

· Team handoffs done right: pass info cleanly between departments, follow up for confirmation, and prevent “I thought you had it” moments.

· Turn questions into orders: quote mulch, answer customer questions thoroughly, and guide them with facts — low pressure, high clarity, no BS. If you don’t have the facts, ask the team and confirm before responding. Never guess.

· Own the register + paperwork: ring up mulch/product orders accurately – pricing right, quantities right, yard communication tight, no drama.

· Keep deliveries moving: support calendar scheduling/rescheduling, confirm details, and help coordinate with drivers so customers stay informed and satisfied.

· Protect the details: confirm product type, pricing/delivery fees, quantities, addresses, timing, strategic routing, and always provide customers with honest delivery capabilities.

· Support AR follow-through: take payments, send invoice reminders, and help keep customer accounts organized.

· Keep the counter tight: organize paperwork, save docs to drive, and maintain a clean, professional front-desk setup.

· Track what matters: update spreadsheets, log customer info, keep quick notes that help the team move faster, and arm management with clear, reliable info to drive better decisions – accuracy is key.

· Identify problems early: spot issues before they blow up, (wrong product, missing info, timing conflicts) escalate smart, and brainstorm solutions.

· Represent the brand: keep interactions smooth and respectful, stay calm when it’s slammed, and support the team by handling the basics flawlessly.

· Spread the word: support marketing and outreach efforts to promote the Central Tree brand.

· Drive 5-star experiences: deliver great service that earns positive customer reviews and repeat business.
