The work you'll do is more than just a job.

At the State of Minnesota, employees play a critical role in developing policies, providing essential services, and working to improve the well-being and quality of life for all Minnesotans. The State of Minnesota is committed to equity and inclusion, and invests in employees by providing benefits, support resources, and training and development opportunities.

Join the 2,800+ professionals of Minnesota IT Services (https://mn.gov/mnit/about-mnit/careers/) (MNIT) who connect Minnesotans to services that will improve their lives. This position will be part of MNIT's Human and Social Digital Services (HSDS) team, which supports agency teams at these state agencies: Department of Human Services (DHS), MNsure, the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), and Direct Care and Treatment (DCT). The MNIT HSDS team combines development and IT operations with a DevOps approach to ensure the reliable and efficient delivery of critical technology systems that serve counties, families, and individuals across Minnesota.

As an IT Advanced Quality Assurance Analyst/Tester you will provide professional knowledge and skills in information systems software testing, quality assurance and quality control of application software and systems. This includes the quality of the coding itself and not just the outcome of the application execution. This position promotes appropriate testing methodologies, striving to identify and manage defects in the software systems.

Level 4 Quality Assurance Analyst/Testers have advanced expertise. Duties performed by this position are complex, and of a smaller scope than those led by senior Quality Assurance Analysis/Testing staff (ITS5). The QA staff at this level require some direction, coaching, and mentoring when leading the quality assurance/analysis for projects.

This position requires an employee to be onsite at 444 Lafayette Rd., St. Paul, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location. Telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) for Minnesota IT Services is available on a limited basis. Employees will be required to meet current telework eligibility requirements.
