Korero mo te turanga - About the role Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Kaitatari punaha - Systems Administrator to join the Systems Team in Te Tai Matihiko - Digital Solutions on a permanent, full-time basis. Key responsibilities * Administer and support enterprise on-prem and cloud systems * Monitor system performance and resolve issues to minimise outages * Provide second- and third-level technical support within service levels * Contribute to improvement work and projects through Agile practices O pumanawa - About you You are a technically capable Kaitatari punaha - Systems Administrator who is a keen team contributor, eager to learn, and will bring with you strong problem-solving skills. Your skills and experience will enable you to support the Systems team in providing a secure, flexible, and robust technology foundation that supports innovation, integration, collaboration, and operational excellence. You will have the following: * Hands-on experience administering Microsoft-based enterprise systems and cloud services in a hybrid or large-scale environment * Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues using structured troubleshooting practices * Scripting and automation skills used to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and security * Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to work productively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders and customers * A proactive approach to learning, willingness to take ownership of unfamiliar problems, and adaptability as technologies and platforms evolve Role description Please click 'apply' to view the salary details and further information on the University careers page.
