JOB SUMMARY:
The Instructor,Human Anatomy and Physiology, is a full-time, benefited
position responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in the STEM Pathway andother related courses at the community college level.
The instructor will mainly teach human anatomy and human physiology courses, cateringto students with varied academic and career goals.
Responsibilities include developing, revising, and delivering course materials alignedwith college standards, assessing student
performance, organizing and executing laboratory activities and experiments, supervising studentsin laboratory settings, and providing
academic support to help students succeed.? The instructor must demonstrate a deep commitment tofostering student success through
engagement in departmental activities and staying current in the fields of teaching and zoology/biologythrough professional
development.
In addition to classroom teaching in varied environments, the Human Anatomy and PhysiologyInstructor will actively
participate in student engagement activities, including recruitment, on-campus events and activities, and academicsupport initiatives. The
Instructor will contribute to the continuous improvement of the institution by collaborating with colleagues acrossthe College on
curriculum development, program assessment, community building, and student success strategies.
The instructor rolealso involves
institutional service, including participation on committees, involvement in accreditation processes, and collaboration ondepartmental
projects.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a Biological Science in one of the
following subject areas: Biology, Cell Biology, Microbiology, MolecularBiology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Zoology, Animal Science,
Physiology, Anatomy, or Kinesiology OR Master’s degree in Science Education and 18graduate credits in a Biological Science or Professional
degree in Medical, Veterinary, or Physical Therapy
*Inlieu of the required degree, candidates with equivalent
professional experience, industry certifications, or a combination of education andrelevant work experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Biological Science in one of the following subject areas: Biology, Cell
Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology,Genetics, Biochemistry, Zoology, Animal Science, Physiology, Anatomy, or Kinesiology

Two years of college-level teachingexperience including teaching in a laboratory setting
- One year of experience with web-based
learning management systems
- One year of experience with undergraduate student driven research programs
