Mechanical Piping Superintendent

A Mechanical Piping Superintendent is needed for a leading EPC organization near Muncie, IN. This role provides essential on-site administrative and technical management for mechanical systems, piping installations, QA/QC, and system start-up activities. This is a long-term contract opportunity slated 9+ months, with per-diem available for qualified candidates.

Qualified candidates must possess 7+ years of mechanical construction field experience specifically on heavy industrial plant projects. You should demonstrate a background in piping systems and mechanical equipment installation within a manufacturing environment. Proven expertise in managing large-scale industrial projects and overseeing complex mechanical checkouts is required.

responsibilities:

• Manage on-site administrative and technical tasks for all mechanical and piping field construction activities
  
  
• Supervise mechanical contractors to ensure all piping and equipment installations remain on schedule and align with designs
  
  
• Inspect and verify subcontractor compliance with mechanical project specifications, quality standards, and safety procedures
  
  
• Oversee the entire construction effort, specifically monitoring craft productivity and efficient use of mechanical equipment
  
  
• Direct the QA/QC process and manage the final start-up and checkout of mechanical systems
  
  
• Interface effectively with client representatives, engineers, and other contractors to optimize project outcomes
