Art Teacher

South Olive Christian School Part-time Christian School Art Teacher for PreK-8 The overall responsibility of the PreK-8 Part-time Art Teacher is to plan, instruct and direct all art classes.

• Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is a consistent testimony among others
• Faithfully attend and financially support a local church whose beliefs are in agreement with our school
• Agree to uphold to the South Olive Christian’s Statement of Faith
• Must have adequate Art education skills as well as an understanding of varying teaching modalities
• Must have an excitement about working with pre-school, elementary and middle school students
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
• Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment and to react with discretion under varying conditions

Education Requirements Applicants should have a degree in either ART or Elementary Education and either a valid Michigan State teaching license or willingness to work towards one.
