Job Description:

Vitalant is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientists to bring skilled technical support to our Transfusion Services team. Regardless of your experience in this field, we have a position tailored to your skill level.

What to Expect

Hours: EVE 3:00 PM -11:30 PM (rotates W/E)

Training: 6 weeks Days 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Location: 1740 West Taylor Street, Chicago, IL

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, medical technology or

clinical laboratory science required. Must meet CLIA requirements for high complexity testing.

MLS I

  • no experience required.
  • $37.16/hour

MLS II

  • ASCP MLS/BB certification required.
  • Two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting required.
  • $42.73 to $44.77/hour.

As a Med Lab Scientist, you'll get to:

  • Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross match.
  • Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.
