Job Title: Ophthalmic Technician
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 8 Weeks (Temp-to-Hire)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM (40 hrs/week)

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists with patient care, diagnostic testing, and clinical operations in a fast-paced eye care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform eye exams (visual field, ocular motility, color vision, tonometry, pupil assessment)
• Assist with intraocular pressure and pharmacological testing
• Manage patient flow, collect medical history, and coordinate imaging/tests
• Educate patients and address questions
• Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic equipment (slit lamp, keratometer, etc.)
• Prepare and sterilize instruments; assist in minor procedures and surgeries
• Ensure clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ophthalmic Technician Certification (Required)
• Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
