Job description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Business Development Manager / Loan Manager to oversee the bilateral loan origination process and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Duties
Oversee the loan origination process from application to closing, ensuring compliance with internal policies/procedures/manuals, and all applicable Federal and State regulations.
Manage a team of loan officers, providing training and support to enhance their performance.
Review loan applications and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Conduct underwriting assessments to evaluate borrower creditworthiness and risk.
Ensure adherence to regulations throughout the lending process.
Maintain accurate records of all loan transactions and communications.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline the loan processing workflow.
Set up commercial / bilateral loan policies/procedures/manuals.
Drive business growth by acquiring large corporate and SME accounts through the promotion of banking solutions.
Extensive local market expertise with a deep network of professional relationships.
Ability to build and maintain long-term strategic partnerships and a robust client pipeline nation-wide.
With the ability to bring in new-new customers and to open up nation-wide loan business with feasible plans.
Experience
Proven experience in loan origination within a banking environment.
Strong knowledge of underwriting processes and servicing.
Familiarity with relevant guidelines, and contract management.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple loans simultaneously.
Requirements
Work authorization (U.S. citizenship/Green card holder) is a must.
Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, or business-related field.
5+ years of business development, commercial banking, or relationship management of local banking institution experience is required; currently working or previously worked at Taiwanese or Chinese banks is a plus.
Responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with new customers and identifying opportunities to make business growth nationwide.
Strong skills in influencing, financial statement reviews, sales, customer service, and communication.
Fluent Mandarin with writing ability is a plus.
Familiar with commercial & industrial loan market practice, and all applicable State and Federal regulations, and have the ability to build up policy and procedure.
Ability to work effectively with internal product experts and stakeholders.
Utilize local market experience to mentor Branch staff and enhance the team's overall business development capabilities.
Ready to fulfill and achieve KPIs with incentives.
Willing to accept other duties and special projects assigned by Senior Management.
