HR Generalist

East Stroudsburg, PA

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

$20 to $25 per hour - Medical, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance, LTD, STD, AD&D, PTO, 401K, Flex Spend Account for Health & Dependent Care.

Position Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in driving full-cycle recruitment efforts to meet hiring goals across all departments, ensuring that open positions are filled with highly qualified candidates. This role also provides support across multiple HR functions, including onboarding, training coordination, and HRIS management.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Hiring

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for union and non-union employees (hourly and salaried)

  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies to meet staffing needs

  • Post and maintain job listings (internal and external)

  • Build relationships with staffing agencies and external recruiting sources

  • Screen candidates through interviews and pre-employment testing

  • Prepare new offer letters and conduct new hire orientations

  • Partner with management on current and future hiring needs

Temporary Workforce Management

  • Process timecards for temporary employees

  • Track daily temporary workforce production

  • Review and process staffing agency invoices

HR Operations & Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records and new hire files

  • Process new hires in Paylocity (onboarding and recruiting modules)

  • Verify employment eligibility (I-9 compliance)

  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations

  • Track completion of required training

  • Process and upload employment and job change documentation

  • Support HRIS training and system usage across departments

  • Provide Spanish translation support, if bilingual

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Director

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; college coursework and/or at least one (1) year of HR experience preferred

  • Manufacturing recruitment experience is a plus

  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and HRIS systems (Paylocity experience preferred)

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
