REPORTS TO: Human Resources Director
STARTING WAGE: $67,375 adjusted for relevant education and experience.
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
At ROI, we support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, and our HR team plays a critical role in ensuring we hire, train, and retain exceptional staff who live our mission every day.
Support HR Assistants, ensuring high-quality service delivery
Assist with recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of staff
Oversee HR systems, records management, and reporting
Support benefits administration and employee records maintenance
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Assist with unemployment hearings and related documentation
Serve as a liaison between employees, leadership, and external partners
Participate in and deliver training and staff development initiatives
Promote and uphold ROI’s Personnel Policies and Core Values
Lead HR team efforts to support program operations and agency-wide goals
Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
Support audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews
Advance ROI’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism
Associate’s degree in a related field + 3 years of experience
Bachelor’s degree and/or SHRM-CP preferred
Experience with HRIS systems (Paycor strongly preferred)
Strong knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, etc.)
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Proven leadership and team-building abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities with the highest professional standards
