Field Crew Leader - Landscaping

Plant Cincinnati is a growing company with a vision to inspire and educate our local community about the value of sustainable landscape design. We are seeking a reliable, experienced, Field Crew Leader to oversee daily landscaping operations for residential and small commercial projects. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on landscaping skills, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a crew in performing landscaping tasks such as planting, mulching, trimming, irrigation, and installation of new landscape and hardscape elements following design plans
• Coordinate daily job assignments and ensure projects are completed on time and to company standards
• Train and mentor crew members, promoting teamwork and efficiency
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management to ensure project specifications are met with enthusiasm and professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies
• Assist with project planning, material estimates, and site preparation

Requirements

• Previous leadership or crew management experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of plants, landscaping techniques, equipment and outdoor construction
• Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping projects, or horticulture; supervisory experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to lead a team confidently while fostering a positive work environment focused on safety and quality.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver's license (CDL a plus)
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• A proactive attitude with leadership qualities that motivate others to excel.
