Acupuncturist (contractor position)

Overview

We are a busy community acupuncture clinic located in Harvard Square looking to bring on another acupuncturist to our space. We're looking for someone to work Friday afternoon/evenings 4-8 pm and Saturday afternoons 1-5 pm, with a preference for candidates that can work both shifts.

This is a contractor position. Pay is 50/50 split. Included in this position are unlimited free acupuncture visits for you and another person designated by you. We have a great clientele and are looking to bring in a skilled practitioner to support our mission of delivering affordable, quality acupuncture care.

Duties

• Treating up to 3 patients/hour on massage tables in a group setting.
• Treating patients supine or side-lying, providing primarily distal treatments.
• Managing clinic flow and community acupuncture treatment priorities.
• Diagnosing and devising treatment plans based on a quick review of the new patient intake, and a short conversation at the table-side with new patients, or a quick review/update table-side with returning patients.
• Formulating and articulating appropriate treatment plans to patients.
• Keeping accurate treatment notes and maintaining HIPAA compliance at all times.
• Working and communicating with all patients and co-workers clearly and respectfully.
• Other duties as mutually agreed upon, including clinic administrative duties and leaving the clinic ready for the next shift.

Qualifications

• A valid MA state acupuncture license
• Up-to-date malpractice insurance
• A passion for the mission of community acupuncture
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail, ability to manage a clinical environment professionally
• Familiarity with The People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture (POCA) is a plus
