What you will do:

  • Digitizes features and updates attribute information in client GIS environment.
  • Updates tracking database as work is performed.
  • Ensures process documentation, processes, and workflows are maintained.
  • Collaborates with other team members to support the successful performance of their roles.
  • Interface with internal departments to resolve issues.

What you will bring:

  • Associate Degree (or equivalent experience) in Geography, GIS, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Entry level 1-2 years of experience, this position is at an entry level and training will be provided.
  • Basic knowledge of GIS software and concepts.
  • Experience with editing geographic databases.
  • Experience working both independently and in team-oriented, collaborative environments.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and interpret work performed by field crews.
  • Prior experience in a utility related industry.
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS Pro.
  • Computer skills, proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to access cadastral data (i.e. parcel and Right of Way information) through multiple sources including County Assessor websites.
  • Analysis of historical satellite imagery.
